Connecting your OrionBMS to WiFi

NOTE: This MUST be run from a computer, tablet or smartphone with WiFi capabilities.

1. Connect the wiring harness to your device. If the status light remains off, make sure it is properly powered. See the manual for wiring details.
2. Make sure the device status light is blinking blue. If it is not, press and hold the 'S' button until it does.
3. Disconnect this computer, tablet or smartphone from your normal WiFi access point and connect to the device's WiFi hotspot. It will appear as ORION-XXXX on your network list and will have no password.

Configure WiFi Access Point

In order for your device to connect to the cloud it must be configured to connect with an existing WiFi access point.

NOTE: This process can be repeated to configure the device for multiple WiFi access points.

Don't see your network? Move your device closer to your router, then re-scan.

Show Connect To Network

1. Your device should now start flashing green and attempt to connect to the cloud. This process usually takes less than 20 seconds.
2. Your device should start slowly blinking light blue (cyan). This indicates it has successfully connected with the cloud.
3. If this process fails or the WiFi password is wrong then the device will flash green indefinitely. If that happens, simply reload this page and try again.
